ASSESSMENT, TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION OF SPORTS INJURIES​

We strive to accurately diagnose injuries as well as find the original cause, enabling us to not only treat and rehabilitate the injury, but to correct the underlying cause. We get to the real root of the problem. We also focus on preventing the same injury from happening again; we do this through rehabilitation and education.

POST-OPERATIVE ORTHOPAEDIC REHABILITATION

Treatment begins with the management of pain and any swelling and stiffness from the operation, as well as restoring your range of movement. From there, we take you through your own full recovery and strengthening program.

MANUAL THERAPY AND DRY NEEDLING

We believe in a hands-on approach to treatment. Massage and myofascial release are still extremely effective therapies, which we use with all our patients. We also use dry needling on trigger points (knots) to release them instantly.

TAPING

Kinesio tape, Dynamic tape, or Rigid tape – you name it, we do it. Taping is a wonderful way to continue the treatment after a session by keeping certain muscles activated or deloaded, or to prevent re-injury when you need to get back in action.

ERGONOMIC ASSESSMENT AND ADJUSTMENTS

This involves assessing your desk and working space set-up. When you sit at your desk all day, slight changes to your sitting position can prevent major joint and muscle pain. We can then make the correct recommendations on assistive equipment and setting adjustments that will solve these problems.

 CHEST AND SINUSITIS

We can assist with improving air movement to the lungs and loosening and expelling excess phlegm caused by acute or chronic lower respiratory tract infection or pneumonia. We can also help with the stimulation of drainage from the sinuses, and treatment of sinus-related headaches.
